Collaboration

Collaborations are strong among consortium members, inter-HBCU universities, and between National Labs-University.


PVAMU-LANL


The collaboration between PVAMU (Dr. Fan) and Los Alamos National Laboratory (Mr. Rockward and Dr. Henson) include NNSA MSIPP graduate internship program, offering a training session  in the Consortium Summer Modeling workshop, preparing students for more advanced training such as A two-week summer school "Introduction to the Analysis of Spectra from High-Temperature Plasmas" will be held at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory


PVAMU-ISU


This collaboration is between PVAMU (Dr. Fan) and Iowa State University (Dr. Vela). Activities include collaborations on research projects, co-training of students, summer interns at Ames, IA.


PVAMU-IU


This collaboration is between PVAMU (Dr. Fan) and (Dr. Li). Activities include collaborations on research projects, co-training of students, summer interns at Bloomington, IN

PVAM-LLNL


The collaboration between PVAMU (Dr. Fan) and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Dr. Reed) include training opportunities such as a two-week summer school "Introduction to the Analysis of Spectra from High-Temperature Plasmas", the Teachers Research Academy at LLNL for high school science teachers, and graduate student Computational Chemistry and Materials Science Summer Institute 


PVAMU-TSU


This collaboration is between PVAMU (Dr. Fan) and Tennessee State University (Dr. Ouyang). Activities include collaborations on research projects, co-training of students, summer interns at Nashville, TN.


PVAMU-UTSA


This collaboration is between PVAMU (Dr. Fan) and University of Texas at San Antonio (Dr. Musie). Activities include collaborations on research projects, co-training of students, summer interns at San Antonio, TX. Other activities such as on March 27 – 28, 2015, the project co-sponsored 6 PVAMU students to visit the Department of Chemistry at University of Texas at San Antonio. Students meet with the Chemistry Club and visited their research facilities and graduate study program (co-sponsored with Welch Foundation).
